How flexible is your wood adhesive?

With the continued growth of solid wood flooring Floorwise have developed a flexible single part PU adhesive to cope with the movement of solid wood floors.

F.540 is a solvent free, one part moisture curing polyurethane adhesive designed specifically for the installation of timber floors. This high performance adhesive has a long open time, develops high bond strength, absorbs sound vibrations & timber movements associated with seasonal climatic changes. It is also suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.

F.540 is suitable for the installation of all types and thicknesses of timber:
Parquet blocks; Mosaic parquet; Wood laminate; Engineered parquet strip; Solid wood.

The adhesive can bond to a wide range of sub floors including concrete bases, cement screed, anhydrite screed, smoothing & levelling underlayment, flooring grade chipboard, hardboard & plywood.

Available in a 7kg bucket or 600ml Sausage.
Using a B3 trowel the coverage for the 7kg bucket is 10-15m2, depending on the conditions, and the 600ml sausage covers 15 linear metres with a 5mm diameter bead.

"Using the new F.540 adhesive can save installers time and money over the more traditional method of secret nailing”, says Floorwise Marketing Director Richard Bailey, “And is especially useful where the height of the floor has to be kept to a minimum”.
